SimG Co., Ltd. delivered a basic-model excavator simulator to a military unit located in Yeongcheon and
dispatched a professional installation team to carry out the setup onsite.
This helped establish a safe and advanced vocational training environment for soldiers.
In the second half of 2024, SimG supplied a basic-model excavator simulator to a military unit located in Yeongcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
This project aims to help soldiers acquire industrial equipment operation skills safely without having to operate real machinery,
enabling them to build practical job skills for their transition into the civilian workforce after discharge.
The simulator replicates the real operating environment in both hardware and software,
and offers virtual reality-based scenarios with diverse terrains and work conditions.
Trainees can conduct unlimited, repetitive training sessions and adjust the difficulty level as needed.
SimG’s specialized installation team visited the military site to ensure smooth setup.
Through on-site consultations, the team adjusted monitor placements, secured the equipment,
and optimized the control settings to suit the local environment.
The team also provided initial user training and guidance on equipment maintenance and management, ensuring stable operation of the simulator.
Existing users praised the simulator for delivering both safety and cost-efficiency compared to real equipment.
The excavator simulator recreates real-life situations such as earthmoving, slope work, and confined-space operations.
Soldiers can acquire not only technical operating skills but also the ability to handle hazardous situations.
The system allows for year-round training regardless of weather conditions,
significantly reducing maintenance costs and minimizing safety risks during military service—an increasingly important concern in society.
This practical and efficient training environment provides soldiers with a strong competitive edge after discharge.
Starting with this deployment to the Yeongcheon military unit,
SimG plans to promote and expand the distribution of VR industrial machinery simulators to other military bases.
Future versions will include AI-driven analytics and additional equipment modules to enhance training effectiveness
and offer customized solutions suitable for various industries.
